MIA to Loggers' Run

Loggers' Run is about as far west as Boca living goes - a collection of a dozen-plus neighborhoods strung along West Palmetto Park Road beyond US 441, backing onto the water management buffer that separates suburbia from the Everglades. Residents chose the location for space, lakes and schools, and accepted a longer drive to everything as part of the bargain. Our job is making the longest of those drives, the airport one, feel like the shortest.

Measured from the MIA terminal, this is a 50-mile trip and we quote 60 to 70 minutes honestly. The routing mirrors the rest of West Boca - 836 to the Turnpike, north to Glades Road - then continues west and south to Palmetto Park. On a taxi meter or a rideshare surge, distance like this is where the price gets ugly. There is a particular flavor of Loggers' Run trip we know well: the pre-dawn run to MIA for a family vacation departure.
